Miro API: boards, items and collaboration with AI agents
The Miro REST API lets you create boards and read or write items such as sticky notes, shapes, cards and connectors. Product, design and consulting teams use it to automate boards and connect them to their work tools. Access is through an app registered in Miro with OAuth 2.0.

What an iTeam agent does with the Miro API
Workshop organized
After the session, the agent groups the notes by theme and writes the summary.
Board generated from a brief
The agent builds the planning board with frames and notes from a document.
Retro that becomes tasks
Retrospective actions become issues in Jira or Linear, each with an owner.
Process map
The agent draws the current flow from the interviews, so the team can adjust it.
From the credential to the agent at work, with approval
Create the app in Miro
Create an app in Miro's developer settings, choose the scopes and install it in the team.
Store the access and limit what each agent does
The Miro access is registered in the iTeam credential vault. You choose which agents use it and what they can do (read boards, create items), with a cost ceiling and a log of every call.
Run the pilot with approval
In the pilot, create notes on a test board. The team approves sensitive actions and follows the call history in iTeam.
Ready-made AI teams for this work
Management reporting team
Revenue, margin, pipeline and cash in one report, built from your systems, with a short note on what changed and why.
Inventory planning team
Stock, sales and lead times are checked every day. You get a reorder list per SKU and a warning about what is not selling.
Procurement and quotes team
Requests go out to suppliers, quotes come back into one table, and the approver sees price, terms and past orders before saying yes.
Logistics and deliveries team
Routes, drivers and delivery status in one place, with customers told about delays before they have to ask.
Questions about the Miro API
Is the Miro API free?
The API is available on Miro plans, with usage limits. The cost is the cost of your plan.
Do I need to write code to use the Miro API with iTeam?
Not necessarily. The iTeam deployment team sets up the Miro access and each agent's actions from the documentation. IT only releases the credential and reviews the permissions.
Does Miro have an MCP server?
Miro has announced an MCP server. iTeam can use MCP or the REST API, depending on what is available for your account.
