Cielo API: what you can do and how to use it with AI agents
Cielo is a Brazilian payment processor. It offers APIs for receiving online payments, such as the Cielo E-commerce API, with credit and debit cards, Pix (Brazil's instant payment system), boleto (a bank payment slip) and recurring billing, plus payment links and sales lookup. Stores, platforms and finance teams that are Cielo customers use it. Access requires merchant enrollment and the merchant's keys, with a sandbox environment.

What an iTeam agent does with the Cielo API
Customer says they were charged twice
The agent checks the order's transactions, confirms whether there was a duplicate or only a pre-authorization, and prepares the cancellation for approval.
Subscription with a declined card
When recurring billing fails, the agent notifies the customer and sends a payment link to settle it.
Payment link on WhatsApp
In a consultative sale, the agent generates the link with the amount the seller approved and follows up until it is paid.
Checking the day's sales
The agent matches captured transactions against ERP orders and flags discrepancies for finance.
From the credential to the agent at work, with approval
Get the keys and use the sandbox
After enrollment, get the merchant keys and validate the flows in Cielo's test environment.
Register it in the iTeam vault
The keys stay in the vault. The support agent looks up transactions, and only finance can request a cancellation.
Operations with approval and a cap
Cancellations, chargebacks and links above a set amount require human approval, with a defined cap.
Ready-made AI teams for this work
Bank reconciliation team
Bank lines, Stripe payouts and ledger entries are matched each morning. You only see what did not match, with a reason.
Accounts payable team
Invoices arrive by e-mail and in shared folders. The team reads them, checks them and lines them up for your approval before the due date.
Collections team
Before and after each due date, customers get a clear reminder with a payment link. Disputes and promises to pay go to your team.
Cash flow forecast team
Every week the projection is rebuilt from your books, open invoices and bills, with a plain note on what changed and why.
Bookkeeping team
Transactions are categorized as they come in, receipts are matched, and the month-end close starts with a short list of questions.
