Zoom API: what it can do and how to use it with AI agents

- Recordings and transcripts contain personal data and confidential conversations: notify participants and follow data-protection law such as GDPR.
- There are rate limits by call type and plan.
- Transcription and cloud recording depend on the plan and on the account configuration.

What an iTeam agent does with the Zoom API
Minutes and tasks after the call
When the recording is ready, the agent uses the transcript to write the minutes, log them in the CRM and create the agreed tasks.
Scheduling from chat
The customer asks for a meeting on WhatsApp, and the agent creates the Zoom link at a free time on the salesperson's calendar.
Webinar follow-up
After the webinar, the agent separates who attended from who missed it and sends the right message to each group.
License usage
The agent lists users with no activity for months so IT can decide about licenses.
From the credential to the agent at work, with approval
Create the app in the Marketplace
In the Zoom App Marketplace, create a Server-to-Server OAuth app with the meeting and recording scopes you need.
Store it in the iTeam vault
Account ID, client ID and secret stay in the vault. You define which agents read recordings and which ones schedule.
Turn on webhooks and test
Enable the recording completed event, test with internal meetings and review the first minutes.
Ready-made AI teams for this work
WhatsApp customer service
Customers write at 11 p.m. and on Sundays. This team replies in seconds, with your prices and policies, and calls a person when it should.
Help desk support team
It reads each ticket, finds the answer in your docs and past replies, and drafts a response your agents can send or improve.
AI phone receptionist
It answers the phone, books the visit in your calendar and sends your team a short note about every call.
Online store support team
It looks up the real order in Shopify or WooCommerce and answers tracking, return and exchange questions in seconds.
Customer success team
It reads usage, tickets and CRM notes every week and tells your team which accounts need a call, and why.
Customer feedback analysis
It reads every comment, finds the themes behind the scores and tells each area what customers are asking it to fix.
Questions about the Zoom API
Is the Zoom API free?
Creating apps and using the API has no separate charge, but the features you access, such as cloud recording and webinars, depend on your Zoom plan.
Do I need to code to use the Zoom API with iTeam?
Not necessarily. iTeam reads the documentation, and the deployment team sets up the app and the events with you.
Does the agent join meetings?
Not in this use. It works with scheduling, recordings and transcripts after the meeting.
